It’s always a great rivalry whenever Los Angeles comes to town, and
Saturday night was no exception as the San Jose SaberCats welcomed the Los
Angeles Avengers to HP Pavilion. The SaberCats defense was apparently
licking their chops from the Avengers first snap, or at least it sure
looked that way as they manhandled Los Angeles forcing fumbles and
pressuring both Los Angeles quarterbacks. San Jose led from the first
quarter scoring in their first series never looking back. ...Story

SABERCATS WEEKLY: SaberCats
Weekly on FSN Bay Area returns once again in 2008. The 30-minute
action-packed show will air on Wednesday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. with new
shows airing every Wednesday throughout the season. During the month of
March, SaberCats Weekly will air a total of three times a week, the debut
show followed by two encore showings. Following the debut the show will
re-air on Thursday, March 13 at 11:30 a.m. and on Saturday, March 15 at
3:30 p.m. Host Chris Townsend takes an in-depth look at the defending AFL
champions with interviews, previews and highlights. FSN feature reporter
Jayme Sire will also contribute to the weekly show. SaberCats Weekly is
produced this season by Paul Aldridge, who spent several years working on
the Cal Sports Magazine.
