Giants Have Come a Long Way

Antoinette Carrisosa: BASD Sports Contributor 11/03/10 The San Francisco Giants have come a long way since their last World Series win as the New York Giants on October 2nd, 1954. Now here they are 56 years later in the 2010 World Series representing San Francisco and proving to be unstoppable against the best hitting team in the ALCS, the Texas Rangers.

Bochy, has a rock star team of misfits passionate Giants fever became an epidemic amongst ecstatic fans hyped up about the World Series all over the Bay Area. They would randomly yell out “Go Giants!” No matter what they were talking about or what they were doing. Many hoped the Giants would win the World Series in their hometown at AT&T Park, but Giants seized every opportunity to go for it in Arlington, Texas.
The Giants
had three wins with two shutouts and one loss against the Texas Rangers,
and as of November 1st, 2010, it all came down to Game 5 at
Arlington Stadium. Renteria hits a three-run The outburst of emotion coming from all the loyal fans that never stopped believing in the Giants united to celebrate a victory that will go down in history. They are hooting and hollering, high-fiving each other and giving mad props to all the Giants players who made it all happen. Whether it was Huff’s red rally thong or Wilson’s gigantic feared beard that led the team to a winning streak, the very superstitious Giants, just a bunch of guys who love to play baseball went “balls to the wall” and rocked Texas becoming the World Series Champs.
