The final day of the 2010 golf tournament at South Lake Tahoe was another stunning and warm sunny day with Billy Joe Tolliver starting as the leader. Tolliver started the tournament week out knowing he was playing pretty well.  Tolliver’s goal was to get 25 points every day. Billy Joe knew that if he hit 25 each day he could be right where he wanted to be.  Billy Joe Tolliver finished this year’s golf tournament in 1st place with a score of 58 points.

Jack Wagner who placed 2nd with a score of 47 hits it in front of the green two putted and three, he roughly had a 5-footer but it was downhill, sliding to the right.  Wagner missed it; if he had started with a birdie, he probably would have hit the next hole. “I actually could get off and have little run, “said Wagner. John Elway, (former Denver Bronco QB) concluded his tournament in 3rd place with a final score of 45 points.  Elway said, the way I played today, the fact that I almost missed the tee ball.”  Chunked it, but he was able to get up-and-down from the front of the bunker.  Elway feels that this is what makes the tournament fun, is to get on 17 and see everybody having a good time.

American Century Golf Championship at Edgewood in South Lake Tahoe Saturday July 17, 2010

Dan Quinn basically I had two similar rounds two days in a row. Quinn hit a lot of greens and some good shots.  I am doing ok, have not gotten into too much trouble, but at this tournament there such a president of birdies that you really need to make the putts.  I have seven birdies, two putts and an 8 footer on the last hole.  It’s going to be difficult to catch up with Billy Joe.  So at the end of the day with all being said you just have to see if you can shoot a 66 and see what happens with Tolliver. John Elway, also had a good game and is currently in 4th place ending his day with a score of 45.  Elway started the day of well with a birdied on the first hole.  Really didn’t have any trouble until we got to we got to
14.  I hit it in the right bunker and hit it fat coming out of that.  I got it within probably eight feet.  Couldn’t make the slider coming down. I thought I hit a really good second putt that slid out of there  3-putted 16 for par, which cost me.  John Elway, ended his day with score of 45 points

Jack Wagner, had a terrific game, and is currently in 2nd place on the leader board.  It was fun to watch, and heard that Billy Joe Tolliver was having a incredible game.  I had to what you would call a flat round of golf.  I started off with a couple birdies and then chopped around and made a double bogey and never made any putts, was not even close.  You just can’t afford to compete in this fashion at this tournament.  What is one to do it happens.  Wagner ends his day on Saturday with a score of 47 points. Billy Joe Tolliver, what an incredible game he had today, and sets an all time record for the lowest score of 33 points and an 11 point lead over the second place athlete Jack Wagner here at Edgewood in south Lake Tahoe.

Truly amazing!  Billy Joe’s caddy tells him they’re hitting driver, why I don’t you hit one? I’m thinking why I aint.  Billy Joe Tolliver finishes his day as the leader with a score of 58 points.
